Our staff performs the following roles:

• Teacher – formal and direct teaching of daily living and social skills, implementing goals identified by the Independent Support Coordinator (ISC) and or Individual Support/Program Plan (ISP/IPP) and informal modeling of appropriate behavior.

• Relationship Builder – Building trusting and influential relationships with the participants we serve and their family members. This step takes time, and all our staff exercise patience while developing this essential skill.

• Environmental Manager – Managing the environment effectively as a means of promoting cooperative and positive behavior (i.e. planning and managing activities and coordinating the daily routines).

• Communicator – Communicating verbally and non-verbally, teaching/habilitating, listening and recognizing positive and negative feedback.
